A Battalion for All Veterans—But Should We Change the Name?
When we first started Alpha VI Battalion, the name was a direct nod to the 6% of the U.S. veteran population. But as the years go on and the veteran population continues to grow, we jokingly wonder if we'll need to update the name—maybe Alpha VII Battalion in the next decade? All jokes aside, our mission remains the same: to represent and uplift every veteran who has served, no matter the era, the branch, or the length of service.
When we first started Alpha VI Battalion, the name was a direct nod to the 6% of the U.S. population that consisted of veterans. But as time goes on, we hope to see the veteran population grow—not just from more service members transitioning out, but because more veterans are choosing life, finding support, and overcoming struggles like PTSD and depression. Through greater awareness, suicide prevention, and communities that uplift one another, the veteran population will continue to grow.
So, maybe one day, we’ll need to update the name—Alpha VII Battalion? Who knows. What matters most is that our mission stays the same: to represent, support, and empower every veteran, no matter when, where, or how they served.
At Alpha VI Battalion, every veteran is family. Just because someone has transitioned into civilian life doesn't mean their warrior spirit disappears. Our designs, featuring veterans in a blend of military attire, combat gear, and street clothing, are a tribute to that spirit—because we know that if the time ever came, our veterans would step up without hesitation to defend this country again.
Supporting Veterans Beyond Apparel
One of the veterans' most significant challenges is finding purpose after service. That's why we work with organizations like Veterans Growing America and Cooks for Vets, which directly support veterans in need.

- Cooks for Vets is another incredible organization we've recently started supporting. Their mission is to provide food security for veterans and their households by delivering healthy meals and groceries to those who need them most. We proudly support their mission because no veteran should ever go hungry.
