Wolfpack Wednesday: The Burn Pit Battle — Kevin Lloyd’s Story
Share
Some fights don’t end when the deployment does.
Kevin Lloyd is one of those warriors. A veteran who stood where many of us once did — in the heat, in the haze, surrounded by the smoke of burn pits most of us never thought twice about. Years later, that same smoke is stealing his breath. Doctors have done what they can, but time is short.
This isn’t a pity story — it’s about awareness. Too many veterans are walking around right now with the same exposures and have no idea what’s waiting down the line. Kevin’s story is a warning, but it’s also a mission. If you served in Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere burn pits were used, take five minutes to register in the VA Airborne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry. Don’t wait until it’s too late.

We’re including a link below to Kevin’s GoFundMe, for anyone who feels called to help directly. Every little bit makes a difference.

At Alpha VI Battalion, we’re just a small brand, veterans trying to build something bigger than ourselves. We can’t fix everything, but we can use our voice. When you buy one of our awareness shirts, like “Save the Veterans”, a portion of the proceeds goes to causes like this — to real people, real stories, and real impact.
One day, we hope to do more.
Until then, we’ll keep doing what we can — one story, one Wednesday, one veteran at a time.
